Intro to Handgun Basics
Whether you’re brand-new to firearms or just need a refresher, Basic Handgun Fundamentals is the perfect course to build confidence, safety, and skills with handguns. Based on the USCCA curriculum, this class is your gateway to responsible ownership and safe shooting.
What You’ll Learn
- 4 Universal Firearm Safety Rules
- Handgun components, operation, & ammo basics
- Grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control
- The importance of dry-practice & live-fire practice
Hands-On Practice Includes:
- Loading, unloading, & safe handling
- Supervised shooting and marksmanship practice on a live-fire range
- Take home drills & exercises

What to Bring for Class
- Modern defensive pistol
- 3 magazines + speed loader
- 200 rounds of ammo
- Electronic hearing protection (must clearly hear instructions)
- Eye protection
- Range clothing (no low-cut shirts/open-toed shoes)
- Brimmed hat or ball cap
- Note-taking materials
- Hydration
- Most importantly: a safe, positive, and ready-to-learn attitude!

Our class fees are non-refundable.
However, you may reschedule once at no additional charge with sufficient advance notice. Rescheduling with less notice will incur a rescheduling fee.
No-shows cannot be rescheduled.
To reschedule, please contact us in advance with your preferred future class date, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
We may cancel classes at at any time, and participants will be rescheduled to the next available session, which may be at a different location.
